Program Description: 
This GEL course being offered by the Business School will be in Barcelona, Spain. It will provide an opportunity for you to experience firsthand business operations in varying international settings.  The course includes lectures, meetings with distinguished professors, meetings with senior corporate executives, field trips to business organizations and cultural sites, classroom discussions, and assignments. The course has been designed to help you develop skills and perspectives to enable you to get the most out of the international experience.  General and specific discussions led by authorities in their fields will enable you to better understand different business and economic views, values, and customs, and these will be integrated into the experience.  The course is timely and appropriate as we observe the dynamics of globalization and international diversity.  

Accommodation/Meals:
Semi private hotel rooms and breakfast is included with the rooms and we have plans for most dinners.  Lunches are on your own as we are on the move most of the day and not together.  A high degree of independence is required of the students to be on time and in place for assigned activities.  

Travel: You will be arranging your own travel to and from Barcelona.  Once we are in Barcelona we will be taking metros, trains and taxis.  

Program Cost:  $2,900. This includes tuition, accommodation, some meals and local transport. Cost does NOT include airfare Program cost does not include visas if applicable. 

Eligibility: This course is open to graduate students and seniors with 90 plus credits. An interview with the the program director is required as part of the application process. 

Visas:
No visa required for US citizens. Other nationalities should verify with the Spanish Embassy regarding possible visa requirements.
